Welcome to the Crater Silver Chapter
The Crater Silver Chapter consists of USAWOA members in the Eastern Region of Virginia and those who are "at-large" throughout the United States. The chapter adheres to the USAWOA principles of Professionalism, Representation, and Recognition for the benefit of Active Army, National Guard, Army Reserve, and retired Army Warrant Officers who live and work in the Fort Gregg-Adams and Petersburg, Virginia area.
The chapter meets monthly from 1700 to 1830 hrs in Fellowship Hall – Room 16 at Memorial Chapel (1901 Sisisky Blvd, Bldg 10600) on Fort Gregg-Adams, with teleconference dial-in available for members unable to attend in person.
Chapter Mission
To provide a forum for continued professional development for Chapter Warrant Officers while fostering an environment to mentor new Warrant Officers; provide a foundation for camaraderie and Esprit de Corps amongst Chapter Warrant Officers; and serve as active participants in the community by providing volunteer services and assistance where needed.
Chapter History
An unofficial association of local Warrant Officers at Fort Gregg-Adams (formerly Fort Lee) has been meeting and supporting the community since 1969 as authorized by the Commandant of the Quartermaster Center and School. In 1974, Chapter President CW3 (Ret) R. M. Williamson, Jr., requested official recognition from the national association, and the Crater Chapter was chartered.
